Bridge to Peace was founded as an emergency response to the deadliest Tsunami of 2004 by Mrs. Bernadine Anderson with the help of her friends and family. Scanwell Logistics has partnered with Bridge to Peace for two crucial campaigns and has been working to promote education and bring light to the lives of economically challenged families.
Bridge To Peace established its first Montessori house in the year 2007 to offer educational support to several underprivileged children dwelling in the regions of Lunugamvehera, Diyatalawa, Moratuwa, Batticaloa, Mullaitivu, and Pokkaruppu.
Bridge to Peace offered education to the 279 young people who were impacted by the long-drawn-out guerrilla warfare. They had suffered imprisonment and, therefore missed out on the basic education later imparted by B2P.
